~CURRENTLY IN MOREHEAD, NORTH CAROLINA~

Hi all,
Sorry for the delay in communication...
The wifi has not been the best over the past couple days.

Before leaving Portsmouth, Virginia the Captain
indulged in some fabulous ribs...
her daddy now needs to perfect his rib sauce recipe and bbq'ing skills to impress his daughter when back home.

Ok, I enjoyed some too!!
They are second best to John Burns'
While travelling through the
DISMAL SWAMP en route to North Carolina
nerves were high as we continuously dodged stumps, trees, and underwater anomalies not always successfully.
As far as we know, at this point, we did avoid any serious damage...

Just when we thought there were no more locks...

...ourselves + 10 other boats were packed in tight...

Amongst all the other boats,
I found the time to graffiti the lock wall...

...it was the lock master who said nail polish works best...

Following our last lock we entered North Carolina!
Once in the Alligator River,
2 fawns were spotted frolicking...
Grace's thought...
"why aren't we seeing palm trees instead?"

Fortunate for Captain Joe, while en route to Morehead City, he was able to tan his boobies...
but had to keep his toque on..HAHAHA
Grace has become a master at toasting bagels and takes great pride in eating them :-)
This ends our day and wifi is top-notch at a local restaurant where we...again...are filling our belly's full of delicious food...and maybe beer!
